Thank you Winston!

I have signed you up, your personal catalogue page is here https://librivox.org/reader/11720

Im not sure about the phrase, i think it is not ok with our policies. There are some other things you can do though.
You can add it to your signature ucp.php?i=profile&mode=signature
Or you can participate in a recording of religious texts, for example this one viewtopic.php?f=19&t=64006

Concerning stopping the audio, it is like this. When you record a section and then record another piece the next day, the difference in your voice will be audible. This isnt a problem in itself, but some readers dont like it. Of course you can stop your recording if necessary, or just walk away letting the recording go on and cut the pause out later. Just try things out and see how you record most comfortably. Let me know if o can help you with anything :D

Thanks so much Carolin. I can't wait to get recording.

And thank you for your helpful ideas with regard to that phrase. Pendennis is my focus for now, but I'd be interested in looking at other texts in future.

Hello Carolin,

I've thoroughly enjoyed the protocol and learning curve and professional senstivity you've
always shown as MC throughout my first year of work with Librivox.

I must let you know that due to a family member in long-term care and challenges there
as well as financial restrictions in terms of any technological upgrades
(I really do hope you have a chance to read my post with respect and regards
to PL NOTES for another project you are MCing ~ ''Culture, Or Art in The Kitchen''...
because I do explain my feeling and assessment about the variance in
tech-levels and expectations within librivox in further detail ~ but just wanted to add
that I do feel as though my contributions have been worthwhile and quite audibly enjoyable
~even with lower tech equipment)

The learning curve is manageable and librivox is a nice community of diversity within
flexibility ~ and this has been a pleasure.

But due to family and financial restrictions at this time ~
I must take a leave of abscence from librivox ~ meaning
that I have to let you know I won't be able to complete the assignment for this project
''Pendennis..." Chapter 49
I do hope that another volunteer will have the time and energy and good fortune
to work with you as MC and complete this assignment.

Many Thanks,
Sincerely,
jftocanada

Hi Carolin,
I would like to volunteer to read section 7. This will be my first time recording so if you have any pointers or constructive criticism when you listen, it would be most appreciated. Looking forward to joining the project
Thanks,
