COMPLETE(NF)The Natural History of Chocolate by D. Quélus-ag
Hi Michael,
Pronunciations can vary so don't get bogged down by it. As they say, just decide on one and say it with confidence.
For these I suggest.:
Kay'-lix
pis-Till'-a
pri-Meesh'-ee-ee
I am not sure about primitiae. If anyone is familiar with it, please let us know
Thanks,
Amy
Here is a helpful quote:
William Stearn’s “Botanical Latin” (4th ed., David & Charles, 1992). “Botanical Latin is essentially a written language, but the scientific names of plants often occur in speech. How they are pronounced really matters little provided they sound pleasant and are understood by all concerned.”

In the mind, or consciousness of the Earth this flower first lay latent as a dream. Perhaps, in her consciousness, it nested as that which in us corresponds to a little thought.--A.Blackwood
Now that I'm becoming an old man, perhaps I should start eating more chocolate?Availle wrote:here is section 6, with 19:34

Not an easy read, he uses semicolons where there should be fullstops... Interesting though, especially when he talks about his experiments to find out what chocolate - or rather: the cocoa bean - is made of.
This is PL OK.

None of us are getting any younger. I like that plan. You talked me into making brownies.
Thanks for the PL, Chuck!

May I have section 11, Medicines. I couldn't help but notice, there is not one mention of chocolate frogs to cure one's ailments in the text.
* there are footnotes, do I include those?

It is yours. I think the footnotes will be good to read in this section. Please use your discretion.
Thanks!
