Hey! Me and Jaiden (BellwetherRelica) just finished her section of the recording, and it's too loud (checker puts it at 92.2 dB). We've tried using a negative value on the "amplify" effect across the whole of the recording to try to reduce the volume, but it has no effect. How does one adjust the 'volume' of a recording, such that it is noticed by checker?

When we get it fixed, she'll post it from her account. Thanks for the help, and for bearing with us!

(My own recording is coming along as well, albeit slowly.)

Hmm

a negative amplification should have worked. A stupid question maybe, but did you remember to highlight the whole track (in Windows, it's control|a)?
If you can't reduce the volume, upload and post the file and I'll see what I can do with it.

For future reference, you can play around with the input volume if you wish - although that would usually be a last resort for people who are way off. I wouldn't for such a small discrepancy.

D'oh! There's our problem. I double clicked it and scrolled both ways for a while, didn't see anything unhighlighted, and presumed it selected the whole thing.

Turns out it doesn't. I'll get the file to Jaiden tomorrow.
