Good, Mariana! I put a note in the MW, please select a name to use in the Catalog (many use real names, but you may use your forum name), you also may, if you wish, to link your name to your web site. Then the MC will set you up; meanwhile you may start recording your chapter!
Thank you Karl! Mariana, he is exactly right. :)
FYI, the BC can add a reader to the catalog, too :)

Added! If you click on your name in the Magic Window, it will take you to your personal catalog page.

File Duration (25:29)
Thank you so much, MW updated. :)
Hello everyone,
I am currently somewhat MIA due to classes, but I will be back during breaks. I'll check up when I can, and I am slowly making my way through my DRs! Thank you for your patience.

I have also made an effort to make the chapters more manageable in this project, to hopefully attract more readers. :) Mariana's file is no longer track 3, so I will re-upload it after it is PLed with its new track number.

Thank you, Mariana! Good reading, technical feedback:
- At 96 dB, a bit too loud. The target is 89 dB, 86-92 acceptable, please reduce by 7 dB.
- At the end, please say "End of Chapter III, Part 1" and leave 5 sec. of silence (keep recording the surrounding noise).
- Tortilla, maybe it would be better to remove accents in carmen_##_mérimée.mp3? Then there would be fewer typos...
Mariana, "carmen_03_merinee" should become "carmen_06_merimee"

I'll fix that, thank you!
Edit: fixed.

hopefully fixed everything(:
Thank you! ... but ... :hmm:
- It became even louder at 98.5 dB :-(
- The requirement is to only use lower-case letters in the file names, please use "carmen_06_merimee.mp3", not "Carmen"
- You have added "End of Chapter III, Part 1" and 5 sec. of silence, thank you! ... but the resulting file is only 1 sec longer than it used to be... :?: If you made other changes, I need to know and possibly spot-PL them :hmm:

third time's the charm?
I wish :-) Now the volume of 79.5 dB is too low :-(
You could get help here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity
or, even better, install the Checker: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

Now the file names ... It's not my whim; inconsistent filenames would make bookbuilding a nightmare for our precious MCs. It's merimee, but even better, just copy / paste from the last line of item 8 in the head post, and only substitute the ## :-)

Good luck
