Thank you! PL OK. (I listened while making supper.) 8-)

The new catalog system in place since August 2013 automatically adds the ID tags, so many projects don't require them anymore. (And sometimes the uploader throws a fit when ID tags are added - don't ask me why!) So don't worry about filling them in at all on this project.

Just joined today and I'm so very excited to see this among the projects being made! Could I do Section 2? I want to start small and make sure I have everything down well before volunteering for more.

Sure! Before embarking, though, do please do the 1-minute test to make sure your settings are all correct.

How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a personal web site or blog, if you have one. CLICK HERE for an example of what I'm talking about. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you.

I'll use my own name. I'm an Anglican priest with a whole bunch of stuff on the net already under my name, so no privacy issues.

Happy to do the one minute test if need be, but I already do a podcast called "God and Comics" with the same equipment. Would simply linking to an episode of that suffice? (Not that one need listen to the whole thing, but just a minute's worth to hear the leveling.)

OK, what's your name?

I'll need a snippet of it to make sure the tech settings are correct. Your podcast might have a different bit rate or be in stereo, for example.

You could pull a snippet from one of them, check the settings, and send that as your test.

EDIT: And we can include a link to your podcast page if you like.

My name is Jonathan Mitchican. My podcast is called "God and Comics" (godandcomics.com). I believe it is in stereo though, so I'll need to do the test. I'll let you know when that has been accomplished. Many thanks.

This is Section 16. I have two more sections, but since this is my first recording other than the 1-minute test, I thought I would upload my first section first and get any feedback before I go on to the other two.

Thanks!

I believe it's 13:21, but I'm not sure if I successfully saved it with the 5 seconds of silence on the end or not :)

Section 16:

There are about 3 seconds of silence at the end. Please do add another 2 seconds or so, so that it has 5 seconds of silence at the end.

Nicely read! The only other thing I want to mention is that you have a lot of popping P's (plosives). There are a lot, but they aren't severe, IMO.

For future recordings, move your mic a bit to the side of your mouth if it's a desktop mic, or a bit above/below your mouth if a headset. That way your breath won't directly hit the mic on P and B sounds.

Thank you! I'll try to PL later today. No guarantees, though.
