48, 49, 50 are PL OK

One small note for section 47:

0:54 I hear “He escaped by going on board with his bark”, text reads “He escaped by going on board his bark”.

Nicely read!
I'll get your other sections done tomorrow. :)

Hi Marta,

Sections 51-54 are nicely read!

However, while listening I noticed that from 1:20 in section 51, through the end of section 54, there are a couple of very happy birds singing in the back, and they're rather audible throughout the recording. It's a pretty sound to be sure, but I found that I had to stop and go back multiple times because the pretty birds had me listening to THEM instead of you!

I had a quick try with noise cleaning in Audacity. It might be hard to filter out the noises completely (since they're not as monotonous as a constant hiss or buzz which are easier to edit out), but I think as long as they can be reduced to less distracting volumes, we should be good. If you are using Audacity, here's a Librivox tutorial on using the Noise Reduction function in Audacity. You might need to play around with the settings a bit.

Cheers,
Foon

Hi Foon! Damn, I've been eclipsed by happy birds!!

I hadn't even noticed. Let me know if you're satisfied with the noise cleaning you did - otherwise, since they're very short sections, I can just re-record them... during the sad bird shift.

I only gave it a quick try on one of the sections, so by no means did I do all the work. Would you like to give it a shot yourself? No need to immediately re-record. It's always useful to learn how to do noise cleaning (you never know when you might need it), and Audacity really makes it rather easy. Do you use it? If not, it's free software, and even if you didn't record your sections in it, you can open any .mp3 in it and edit it.

Hi Foon! I'm familiar with Audacity and noise cleaning, but like you said, they're not humms, so it'd be hard to clean the sections with birdies if I'm talking over them. If it's up to me, I feel like it'd be much less work to re-record them :)

Since the sections are so short I think re-recording would be fine on this occasion.

Hi Jeff,

Nicely read!
I have one small comment.
0:33 At the intro, after listing the full title and authors, there is no need to repeat the section number.
So instead of "Section 74: How Thor Went to Fish for the Midgard Serpent" you can just say "How Thor Went to Fish for the Midgard Serpent".
It should be a very quick snip so if you could update that for consistency, you are then PL OK
