Here is Chapter 21

I had to delete my Audacity application and download and use the current version. Previously I could stop recording by clicking on the square stop button and then when I resumed recording it would continue on the same track. With the new version, continuation always starts at the beginning of a new track and I end up with a mess of tracks that I need to identify and paste together. I have previously learned that I can stay on the one track by holding the "shift" key down as I resume, but that's a pain. Do you know whether there is any way to change an Audacity setting so that recording resumption will be on the same track as before?

After posing the track question, above, I did a little checking and I found that if I just let the new tracks build up as I record and then when I'm finished with a chapter I can "Align Tracks End to End" and then 'Mix and render to a new track". I'll try that on Chapter 23.

Thank you russ. I personally record everything in one go and then edit out my mistakes, i find that the sound quality is better that way, but that probably depends on how this is done :) thank you!

Hi Russ,
I took a listen to chapter 20 for you. Well done. :)

18:26 slight stumble - company

20:21 loud noise - Mattia wanted to refuse the things

The ending silence is about 1.5 minutes. Please trim to ~5 seconds. I'm assuming you uploaded the incorrect file, as your stated file length is shorter than the file version I listened to.

Optional:
If you ever have some research time for this crazy hobby of ours you might consider this video. I picked up a couple of areas of high background noise (probably during a correction). No need to change anything for this reading. I just thought you might like this. I use Phil's videos often. He is one of our MCs and made a number of training videos for LV. His version of Audacity is likely different than yours but the functions should be similar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzVxubRO4gI

Here is corrected Chapter 20. I looked for areas of high background noise but didn't find any.

This correction was not made:
20:21 loud noise - Mattia wanted to refuse the things.

Overall your noise floor is higher than what I typically hear from LV readers. Noise cleaning would be a good practice to get into but again, you certainly don't have to.
