Greetings -

Some notes on Section 28 and Section 30:

Section 28 is PL OK.

Section 30 needs some work:

TIME: 02:34 TEXT: "or hold it in his mouth uneaten." COMMENT: This phrase is repeated.

TIME: 12:22 TEXT: "Clark, 1322 Twelfth Street, N. W., Washington, D. C." COMMENT: The "N." should be pronounced "North".

TIME: 12:52 TEXT: "4. Beak--high: stout: wide: hooked: long: lobes: drawn down." COMMENT: At the end of this phrase, the number "4" is repeated.

TIME: 14:02 COMMENT: The entire "Points to Observe" section is repeated and the closing has a bit of sound after the last word. It might be easiest to edit off everything after 14:02 and re-record the closing statement.

Ooh jee.. Sorry about that. Missed a few retakes when editing

Thanks! My name is Matt Swartz. I’ve done a one-minute recording but I can’t yet get the file to pass the compatibility/compliance test, so I’ll continue to plug away on my end until I get it resolved. I may just have to re-record and re-save. More to come.

I did a quick listen. Your reading is nice and clear. :)
Two comments for future recordings"
You want the silence at the start to be between 0.5 and 1 second in length.
You might want to use some noise reduction to decrease the level of the background noise. The level in your recording is at the high end of the acceptable range.

And, I have created a catalog record with your name, Matt Swartz.

Greetings -

Welcome to LibriVox, Sheridoodle. You are off to a good start with your first three chapters.

Only one little things to be done to each of the chapters in order for them to be PL OK.

The silent period at the end of the three files needs to be five seconds long.

Looking forward to hearing more from you in the future.
