Chapter 2 recorded! It's a few decibels quiet, I can raise the volume if needed.

Chapter 2

You are correct in that the volume is too low. Please amplify by about 7dB https://sites.google.com/site/librivideo/for-volunteers/recording#6

Please note the file name should be _128kb_

The reading itself is very good

Oh, I see! Thank you - thought it was file size rather than format. Here's a louder version:

We'll I've got to upload it sometime, it'll never be perfect.

There's a person's name that's spelled inconsistently (Marcarenhas/Mascarenhas), so I just picked one pronunciation there. I'm sure there are a couple minor word swaps left, but just let me know if anything needs adjusted!

Word swaps are fine if they don’t affect meaning. Often you will find old texts that differ from how we speak today e.g. he said or said he. If you’ve put in your own interpretation e.g. he exclaimed, that might be different (but not necessarily)

Thank you for your interest. I would like the same reader for both parts of chapter 3 (a total of just under 10,000 words, which would likely make it too long for one section). If you’d like to do the entire chapter, I’ll sign you up.
