Many thanks, AJ.

I asked my librarian about the noise, and she said, "no one would come here
if they weren't allowed to talk out loud." So I read out loud.

Kirk, not sure whether you got something for Protologoi,
but I would call it proto - logoy (long "o" as in "bold" except the "oy" part)

I neglected to indicate where Section 5, Part 2 starts. A little less than half way between pg 355 and pg 356, If we turn to the Ordinances of Manu, we find the prototype of all these ideas.

Good evening, Kirk.

Interesting that she presents the tree of knowledge as protection, while others see it as a danger.

Please let me know how detailed you would like PL notes. There are about 10 I've noted, but some are pretty nit-picky, and a few I didn't even bother to write down. I want to tailor my comments to the degree of perfection the reader wishes to attain.... and won't send them in until you advise me. PLers can get themselves in hot water by being too exacting!

Back to readers found! No small feat for such a difficult book. Thank you all!

Regarding PL

As the BC of the project, you can set the level of PL you want. If you don't want the Standard, change it to Special or Word perfect in the first post, so readers and plers know what you're after.

Here's more info on the different PL levels: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=17680

Thanks, both of you. I find PL so difficult. My standards, even for standard PL seem to be higher than most, but I don't like to offend readers! I do know of PLers who have stopped PLing for this reason. It's a delicate balance, especially with so many polysyllabic words in so many languages in one text!

Kirk, here's what I have (times approximate)

5:58 and 6:02 atmamatrasu (missing a syllable "ma")
6:52 and 7:02 (a couple of other places in that section) Medhetithi missing a syllable "ti"
- in other locations you get both of these right

11:39 exoteric instead of esoteric
14:13 "which to man" instead of " to which man"
15:30 anthropomorphism I think you (dropped or) added a syllable
25:38 animating instead of aminating

I worked a few years recording text books and they had to be almost perfect. I have no problem with doing the best job possible.

Thanks for your corroboration, Kirk! PLers need encouragement too!
