Section 10 PL Notes:
Well read. Good to have someone with French pronuniction skills for this topic.
  • 00:01 Max 1 second of silence at the start of the track please! (This is the only thing that needs to be changed for this file - the following are just FYI)
  • 00:00 Note: The volume of this track is 86.71dB. LV requires the overall volume for the track (measured by ReplayGain) to be between 86-92db (with 89dB being the ideal). The file falls within the outer ends of that range and so doesn't need to be changed but it's worth being careful about this. The easiest way to automatically set the volume is to use the 'Loudness Normalization' effect (set to -19LUFS) in recent versions of Audacity before exporting the track as an MP3. Another way would be to use the Amplify effect set to 2dB.
  • 34:29 Note: The background noise on the file was quite high. Have you looked into increasing the source volume (closer to the microphone or making sure the microphone is at full volume)?

Thanks very much for those tips! It is a (pleasantly) steep lurning curve. I will use them in the next one I do.
I have trimmed the silence at the start to less than one second. Somehow the duration is now 34:28, longer than what I had previously given! I don't know how to account for this :/
In any case here is the new file:

Interesting! I wonder if you edited the same version you had uploaded. Or the first duration could have been a bit off.

Section 15 is PL OK! I did notice a big start-stop at one point where you ended the recording and started again. It's not a problem but it was noticable. The easiest way to avoid it is to record the whole track in one take (mistakes and all) and then edit them out afterwards.
