Thank you for section 16! It sounds great, and I appreciate your deliberate and easy to follow pace. I have some notes, but please don't be discouraged by them!
This is a long recording, so it's not as much as it may look like.
- At the very beginning, could you trim out the silence so that there's 0.5-1 second of silence?
- At 1:21, "omnipotent in this world," you say "omni-impotent in this world" (p. 231)
- At 2:20, could you include the footnote at "And Nature"? (p. 231)
- At 4:30, "seek to evade it," I hear "seek to invade it" (p. 231)
- At 4:36, "if he wishes to avoid degeneration," I hear "if he wishes to invoid degeneration" (p. 231)
- At 7:17, "and enfeebles the race," I hear "and enfeeds the race" (p. 233)
- At 8:54, "enervated by the centuries of obedience," you say "inadverted by the centuries of obedience" (p. 233)
- At 9:09, "adding in some sort to the creation, as an artist adds to it," you say "aiding in some sort to the creation, as an artist aids to it" (p. 233)
- At 9:17, "out of inchoate material," I hear "out of inoculate material" (p. 233)
- At 13:51, "to insist on the extirpation," you say "to insist on the extrapulation" (p. 235)
- At 15:17, "the secret of half the pain of life," you say "the secret half of the pain of life" (p. 235)
- At 15:20, there are two pages missing from the Internet Archive scan that I linked (p. 236-237). Sorry I missed that! Would you mind reading those two pages from
this scan? (I chose the first scan because I thought the contrast was better...oh well!
)
- At 15:21, "conditions clash so perilously," I hear "conditions class so periously" (p. 238)
- At 15:57, there's a repeat of "in consequence of the more highly organised life..." (p. 238)
- At 16:22, "the conditions of our present state," the end of "conditions" is cut off (p. 238)
- At 17:21, "It is the perennial mistake," I hear "It is the pre-annual mistake" (p. 238)
- At 17:57, "The idea of the tribe," I hear "The ideal of the tribe" (p. 238)
- At 18:16, "desire to propitiate," I hear "desire to appropriate" (p. 238)
- At 21:08, "thus plying the immortal business of the Fates," you say "thus playing the immortal business of the Fates" (p. 239)
- At the end, could you trim the silence to about 5 seconds of silence?
- The volume is at 93 dB. Would you mind lowering it to within the target range of 87-92 dB?
- Could you change the filename to moralityofmarriage_16_caird_128kb?
By the way, while editing, if you start at the end and work backwards, it will make the process easier because it will keep the timestamps that you haven't gotten to yet in the same place.
If you have questions about anything, I'll be happy to help!
As for section 7, no apology needed! I know real life stuff happens sometimes. As long as I know it's on the way, it's all good.
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.
