If it's a new reader, claiming a section for the first time, the BC will need to add them, from the "add new reader" button above the magic Window. That's when new readers are asked how they'd like to be credited in the catalogue. 'user name' is the forum name and 'display name' is the catalogue name.
I'll be around if there are any issues with the process
What display name would you like to use, SP, for the catalogue?
Note: I listened to your test too. It's possible you're a tad close to your mic? The test is okay, and approved, but there's a slight reverb when you speak. Just sayin' because this text has lots of unusual words so clarity is key.
Welcome aboard!

I asked my librarian about the noise, and she said, "no one would come here
if they weren't allowed to talk out loud." So I read out loud.

Thanks, it's Joshua Vellacott. I will note the proximity and reverb, I'm in the process of significantly improving setup (dynamic range of mic is terrible, around 40dB, so without proximity effect, if I increase the mic level it goes noisy) and deadening room.

Deadening room will help with the reverb

Hi Czandra! Sounds good I've marked it pl ok!

What a great voice and attitude you have for this text. The recording is fine, with a few niggly points pretty much up to your discretion. Times are approximate: I'll asterisk those I consider more important
You pronounce Cosmogony twice, at the beginning and at 29:50, as Cosmo(j)ony.
4:30 Dayanand *
8:29 there's an extra Thus, then "this" which is in text. It makes sense, though as is.
10:40 Herodotus. I'm not sure whether Heroditus is the same person?
11:33 an extra "as shown by" *
16:00 Anthropogony (extra "g" in there) *
16:10 oviporous (I hear oviporious)
21:15 the Water of Space *
21:55 Egyptiacus (I hear Egypticus)
22:19 Scarabaeus (I hear Scarabus) this occurs a couple of times in the paragraph before this too
23:38 Light not Darkness **
31:35 Anguinum
I hate to be too picky. The writer was so erudite, it's hard not to respect that. (Though I gather the men didn't know what to make of her - she had a lot to prove!)

Comments:
I've never heard cosmogony pronounced any other way than "cosmojony" <-soft g ??
at 16:00 I didn't hear an extra "g" ? (Looks like "g" is our problem child...)
I left the pronunciations of Egyptiacus and Scarabaeus as read, as they seem most familiar and recognizable of those terms. Obviously Rap has the final say on this - please advise.
All other corrections noted and made. Thank you for your careful listening!

Good morning, knappily. Thanks for your offer. I'm not finding you on the readers list. Have you posted a one-minute test to be sure your recording values are right?

Many thanks Owlivia. Definitely at 15:57, I hear anthro-po-go-gony, an extra go. Does it matter? Only to OCD' ers like me, probably!
Leaving it in your capable hands.

Finally heard the additional gag at 15:57 and have corrected. Here it is:
