Hello, if this project still needs a DPL, I would be happy to volunteer.

Thank you, CaseyAllena! I see this would be your first project as a DPL, so I just wanted to run a couple things by you to make sure you know what you're getting into and see if you are still interested.

First, have you thoroughly read the information for proof listeners in the thread at this link? viewtopic.php?f=61&t=17680

Please do so if you haven't yet. There are quite a few things to learn as a DPL helps new readers work out the kinks in their recordings. Of course, I am here to help with any questions you may face, as well as our MC, Ann.

Also know that a project like this may be in process for anywhere from months to over a year, so it is a big commitment. (But if at any time a volunteer needs to bow out of a project for any reason, that is totally understandable.)

A DPL also needs to be available to listen through chapters within a few days of their being posted all through the project duration. If it is looking like it will take longer at some point in your schedule, it is helpful for the DPL to leave a note informing the reader of an approximate time frame when they can expect to have feedback.

Being a DPL can be an enjoyable and rewarding job, but it is a big job! So let me know if you have questions and are still interested.

The only slight issue is that I'm going out of town in a few days and won't be back until June 2, so I likely won't be able to start until then. Would that be a problem?
