Thank you for chapter 24! Nicely done, as always. I have just a few notes:

- At 13:52, "and to contemplating the roof of the chateau," the middle of "contemplating" is not quite audible (p. 10)
- At 15:15, "to gibber, laugh at, and mimic her," you say "to gibber, laugh, and mimic her" (p. 10)
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks again for this chapter! It's PL OK. I have one optional note: at 11:41, "a political conspiracy against ____" (p. 18), I think that saying "blank" for the blank would help with clarity for the listener. But it's not a huge deal, so it's up to you whether to make that edit.

My lips are sealed! :?: The fireworks scene in this chapter, when Consuelo doesn't notice them while reading her letter and then writing her own, is one of my favorite scenes in the book.
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Thank you for chapter 26! Nicely done, as always. The only note I have is that at 2:31, "that all the domestics had seen spirits," you say "that all the domestics had been spirits" (p. 24).

Thank you for chapter 15! I enjoyed this expressive and measured reading. I see that you used a different translation. I'll be able to use this recording, but if you're interested in reading more chapters for this project, I would like to ask that you use the translation in the link provided in the first post.

I have some notes about word changes that I mention only because they change the meaning or affect the clarity of the text (all page numbers refer to the Potter translation that you read from):

- At 1:03, "that he would guarantee its return," I hear "that he would guarantee his return" (p. 237)
- At 1:28, "you would not haggle with the king," you say "would you not haggle with the king" (p. 237)
- At 2:58, "the only discomfort to which you will be subjected," you say "the only comfort to which you will be subjected" (p. 238)
- At 3:56, "that I may work at my music in the evening," you say "that I may work at my materials in the evening" (p. 239)
- At 6:13, "It is true that these reserved cases," you say "It is true that these reserved places" (p. 240)
- At 7:19, "and withhold the money," you say "and withhold your money" (p. 240)
- At 7:38, "The king knows the law better than anyone, and if it be his good pleasure to appeal to it" you say "The king knows better than anyone, and if it be his good pleasure to appeal" (p. 240)
- At 8:04, "As for her, when she was well assured that the honest warden was incorruptible in regard to candles, she accepted the situation," you say "As for her, she was well assured that the honest warden was incorruptible in regard to the candles, as she accepted the situation" (p. 241)
- At 8:35, "before the hours of darkness," you say "from the hours of darkness" (p. 241)
- At 9:10, "upon that capricious and restive courser," you say "of that capricious and restive courser" (p. 241)
- Starting at 9:36, there's a repeat of "and in spending agreeably those hours of darkness which prisoners who endeavour to compel sleep in order to escape from ennui fill with phantoms and agitation" (p. 241-242). Could you use the second version?
- At 11:58, "which each day brought forth," you say "which the day brought forth" (p. 243)
- At 13:13, "to return to it without regret," you say "and return to it without regret" (p. 243)
- At 15:10, "he had not imagined that he was himself," you say "that he was himself" (p. 244)
- At 17:02, "and not that of another," you say "and not of another" (p. 245)
- At 17:43, "dangerous to provoke by certain reagents," you say "dangerous to provoke certain reagents" (p. 245)
- At 18:30, "in this fluctuation of the intensity," you say "in the fluctuation and the intensity" (p. 246)
- At 18:47, "Then the sound would grow weaker," you say "When the sound would grow weaker" (p. 246)
- The volume is 93.9 dB. Could you lower it to somewhere within the target range of 87-92 dB?
- I'm seeing in Checker that the bit rate isn't 128 kpbs and is variable rather than constant. Are you using Audacity? If so, this page has instructions on how to adjust your settings so that your recording has a constant bit rate of 128 kbps. After you change your settings, you'll need to import the file and then export it again.

Please let me know if you have questions about anything! :)
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.
