Hi Mamacheetah –

Thanks for these reads. They are delightful :)

Here are some notes:

On both files, the beginning and ending silences need to be changed. The beginning is too long, and should be .5-1.0 seconds. The ending is too short, and should be 5 seconds.

sec. 36 – no text corrections needed
sec. 37
2:05 text:of, heard:or
7:10 text:much, heard:such
7:34 tongue trip on "intellectual"

In some spots in both of the two files, some sort of background noise is quite noticeable. It sounds like it might be a washing machine or something similar running nearby? It is not there all the time – can you isolate the sound of the noise to turn off or avoid for future recordings?

Take a listen at these spots on section 37 to see what I'm referring to, though the noise can be heard other places as well:
00-:34
8:39-8:51
9:13-end

Let’s see what we can do to clean these two up a bit. Have you run noise reduction on the files? If not, that would be a good thing to try first. If you’ve run it once, I would run it a second time.

Some spots where the noise appears are places where you’ve patched in a correction that is at a slightly louder volume than the surrounding recording. If you could deamplify these bits to match the surrounding recording, that also might help.

If you need help with how to do either of these things, please ask!

Thank you,
Verla

Great read, Andy.

Usually when inserting a footnote, the reader brackets it with the statements "footnote" and "end footnote" before and after. Your two footnotes start at 4:05 and 6:22.

Jo, let me know if you'd like him to insert those, or if I should PL OK as is.

Thanks,
Verla

It's PL OK as it as far as I am concerned. I don't think the footnote / end footnote is necessary here, but I'm fine either way. Thanks.

Thanks to both of you. I'm glad to learn of the proper method of reading footnotes! I've made these adjustments.
