It looks like 21 is the only remaining chapter, if it's alright with everyone I'll submit a recording for that.

I figured it wouldn't last much longer, so good for you for asking! Chapter 21 is yours, thank you! Just make sure to get an OK on your one minute test first, before recording your chapter. It is just so that we can make sure that your settings are where we need them to be. It will make your life easier.

Now that we are full, we are off to Readers Found!

Chapter 21 needs one quick fix. The volume is currently at 84.5 dB, we need it to be around 89 dB, with a range of about 87-92. It you could amplify by 5 dB, then the volume will be where it needs to be.

According to Audacity, that level of amplification will induce clipping. Are there any recommendations for dealing with that?

How much higher can you amplify without clipping? It you can get it to about 87 dB, then it will be fine. Or, you could use the Compressor effect, which will raise the low peaks and lower the higher peaks. Sometimes that will get you to the targeted range. Try those and see what you can get to. Let me know if you need more help!

I ran it through compressor and then amplified as much as it would let me without inducing clipping. Updated file is here: https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/ranchgirlsrainbowlodge_21_vandercook_128kb.mp3
