Hi! I would like to PL sections 1-4!

I would like to PL a few sections at first, but I am open to the idea of committing to DPL, I would like to introduce myself to the text beforehand though!

In principle, LibriVox works on a "first come - first read/PL" basis, which means KmpltlyMe gets first dibs. However, since she didn't indicate that she'd want to PL all of it, I'd say I'll give you, benrocampo29, the first four sections as you requested.

I see you're both pretty new on here, so please make sure you read our guide for proof listeners and maybe take the test all the way down. This way you'll know what to listen for, and what not.

Section 1 PL: Reading was great! Really enthusiastic and it flowed really well. I found a couple errors but it was just a word or two that wasn't word for word from the text, these are the only two I found that seemed to disrupt the meaning of the text and need changing. Other than that great job!

4:02 - "Gold Dust, where Assayer's Office” should be "Gold Dust, for Assayer's Office”

5:27 - “and when he reduced the cutting” should be “where he reduced the cutting”

That was quite some turnaround, thank you!

This project has the PL level "Standard", so we're not looking for word-perfect recordings here. You don't even have to check against the text in this PL level.

The main question to ask when PLing "Standard" is "Does this change the meaning?" In the list you've given, I would say that's only true for the notes at 4:02 and at 5:27. The rest is fine.

Could you please edit your post above so as not to confuse the reader? (Use the pencil button on the top right to do that). Thank you.

Section 2 PL Feedback: Reading was great! No obvious errors to be found and I really enjoyed listening. The reader did a spectacular job!

Hey! Im finishing up PL for section 3 tonight, and will get to 4 probably sometime tomorrow. I was wondering if you all were looking for a DPL? I would be open to volunteer for that position if you need (except for sections 7 & 8 that listenclosely is working on). Otherwise I would like to be assigned to PL Sections 13, 14, 24, and 25.
