I keep on making mistakes! I reduced the volume by only 1 db when I went back in and checked. Here is my corrected recording.

Hi and welcome to Librivox!
There are a few things to do before you get started.
You will need to complete a one minute test - this is to check your specs are up to Librivox standards, and if not, you'll be given hints on how to remedy that. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Please post your test in the Listeners Wanted forum (see the dropdown at the bottom of the page) for the speediest response. Waiting for the OK may seem tedious, but can save time in the long run. I will just assign one section for now, but once that has been submitted, you will be free to claim any sections that are still open. Your section will be held for 1 month pending your test. Please keep in touch if there is a problem.
You will also need to be added to the catalog of readers. I will add you using your forum name, but if you prefer your real name or a pseudonym let me know. We can also link to a personal blog or website. Be sure to read the first post - all the info you need is there, but if anything doesn't make sense, just ask. The wiki (see the top of the page) has bundles of info too.

When we first start recording, there is a steep learning curve. You will get better as you gain experience... you've already made a big improvement 8-) When I first started, I wrote out a checklist of all the steps I needed to take in post-processing. It wasn't long before I didn't need it any more.
Ch 26 is now PL OK

Hello. Could I record section 11 Patsy's Dangerous Mission please. Also, I am a newcomer and I don't mind using my name, Jasmine.

Chapter 6 Reading is good.

The volume is too high. Please amplify by about -9dB. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_z607awyLw

You can check your own volume and technical specs with our Checker program... if is safe, free and easy to use https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker

For future recordings, it would be better if you slowed down a bit... listeners need time to process one sentence before the next. Just take a breath!
Thank you for the feedback. I fixed the volume. I'll will read this chapter again slower and submit it again.

Please note it is very rare we ask for a re-record. Most files can be salvaged. Re-recording takes too much work for everyone. The new file has to be proof-listened and there may be either the same or new things that need correcting. Only make the edits requested (here it’s the volume)
