Uploaded after changes - I was using the text section number.
Now changed to 29, not 13!
Noise improved and amplified.
New length of file is 25:25

Please remove the 'section 13' one I uploaded!
Did you still want to record the right section 13 or not? Id assigned it to you when you uploaded a 13. Thank you!

Here is section 7.

https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/brewing_07_combrune_128kb.mp3

length 12:42

There were two worked out math examples in the chapter. I could not find a decent way of reading them, and as they are summarized in the text I just left them out (except for giving the answer to the first one - the 161 1/3 value)

Thanks, Todd
Hi Todd -

Yes, I see how those calculations are hard to read! I am fine with you leaving them out as long as Carolin is too.

Here is your PL feedback -

3 :29 – said subject - text says object
7 :39 – said 10 o’clock - text says eight o’clock
8:14 – missed saying “in order to know the heat of the mash”

Lynda
Fixes made and uploaded. Length is now 12:44

Thanks, Todd

I only attempted 29 because I was on holiday. I'm really sorry and would like to give more time, but I don't have more time at the moment

Hi Todd! Great reading - good calm, solid voice and you did an excellent job reading the chart!

Just two small corrections please -

1:02 – heard “combination” text says “compound”
3:02 – heard “sorting” text says “ordering”

Greetings all !

REQUEST:
Volunteering to claim Section 13 "OF THE DIFFERENT PROPERTIES OF MALT, AND OF THE NUMBER OF ITS FERMENTABLE PARTS."

CHALLENGE:
While the project table identifies this as "Section 13", in fact the section TITLED "OF THE DIFFERENT PROPERTIES OF MALT, AND OF THE NUMBER OF ITS FERMENTABLE PARTS." is SECTION 12 in the actual text !
:-O

GAME PLAN:
I will begin preparing for the section titled "OF THE DIFFERENT PROPERTIES OF MALT, AND OF THE NUMBER OF ITS FERMENTABLE PARTS."

EQUIPMENT:
LAPTOP: Acer Aspire | i5 processor | 16 GB RAM | 500 GB SSD (plenty fast)
OS: Windows 10
SOFTWARE: Audacity for Windows 10 v2.3.0
MIC: MAONO AU-A04 USB studio mic | 96 KHz, 24 bit | cardioid pattern, foam boot on mic, double-mesh pop filter
STUDIO: Home Office, carpeted, heavy curtains
RECORDING: Per established LibriVox standards.
VOICE: 57 yr old Minnesotan/Canadian/African accent ;-)

Awaiting go-head.

Cheers,

-Mark in North Aurora IL

Hi Mark, welcome to librivox and to this project!

I have a couple of organisational notes for you :)

1. You are right that section 12 of the text is section 13 in our project. Thats because when you actually count the sections of the book, your section is really 13 (the technical terms dont have a section number in the text). You will encounter this often, as we dont have quite as much freedom with the magic window as we'd have with printed books.

2. Please always wait for the okay on your claim before getting started! This way, there is no risk of a double claim, which happen sometimes because the book coordinator cant be online 24/7 of course :) your claim will usually be answered within a day (but take into account that all volunteers are sometimes not available for a day or two, and that we are all in different time zones).

3. How long is the recording (mm.ss)? Please remember to always post the duration of a recording when you post a link so that i can update the magic window :)

Thats it from my side, lynda will proof listen and give you feedback shortly  thank you!
