An Intangible Clue

~1:40 missing phrase This they both knew, yet he smiled with his customary indulgence.
~6:30 repeated phrase
What do you see in me, or miss in me

I am trying to find out if "The Waxwork" by AM Burrage is PD. I see it in various places on the net and youtube but I know that's no indication. No sign of it on Gutenberg either.
Help?

It appears that the original publication date was 1931 (from a quick search). For Librivox, a 1931 text is not PD unless it's on Gutenberg.org. (because Gutenberg would do the legal clearance process)

So short answer is no, probably not.

Thanks for stepping in.
Later texts are only PD if the copyright wasn’t renewed, which is why you sometimes see them crop up. This is particularly the case with sci-fi stories.

Thanks very much. Looks like it's a few years down the road.
