Good Evening:

Poisoned
by Farnsworth Wright
From Weird Tales, November 1923
Read by Dale Grothmann
Time 27:12

Audio at: https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/ssc102_poisoned_dg_128kb.mp3

Text at: https://archive.org/details/WeirdTalesV02N04192311/page/n72/mode/1up

It is not exactly a ghost story, or a horror story. In fact, in my opinion, most of it is a Soap Opera. But I like Farnsworth Wright. He was a good writer (Before he became an editor)

Thanks

Poisoned

~10:15 Repeat "That may have been Aubrey's..."

I enjoyed that story... especially the ending

Hi:

Reloaded Poisoned. https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/ssc102_poisoned_dg_128kb.mp3

Everything else the same.

Nice catch. I am glad someone listens. Makes we readers look competent.

Don’t worry… my recordings (which used to be perfect, according to DPLs) are smattered with errors these days.

Yes… although some are better elsewhere, e.g. childrens, sci-fi, horror.

Hello, it's been a while.

Link: https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/ssc102_baxtersprocrustes_lkp_128kb.mp3
Name of your story: Baxter's Procrustes
Author: Charles W. Chesnutt (1858 - 1932)
Source: https://archive.org/details/atlantic93bostuoft/page/n5/mode/2up
Length: 27:41

I am aware the first third of this reading sounds different to the rest – I started recording this nearly a decade ago and never got around to completing it. I came across it when tidying up my computer and decided to finish it up, but I used the original bits of recording rather than redoing it all.

Please let me know if anything needs fixing or sounds too bad, I'm happy to make any corrections.

(Also apologies if there are two copies of this on the server, my internet hiccupped the first time I tried to upload.)
So little space, so much to say.

Baxter's Procrustes PL OK

The use of the Leveler Effect may have evened out the volume, but as it is, it is fine
