I'd be glad for you to join this project.

Please let me know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog -- real name, pseudonym, or any nickname or "handle" you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work

I know you said you did a test recording several years ago, but I would strongly suggest you do another one. It is only to check out your technical specifications and overall setup, and so many things could change in the interim. I think a fresh report would be very beneficial.

Thanks for your interest!
Thanks for the response, Larry! I just uploaded a new 1-Minute Test due to your suggestion! As for how I would like to be listed in the catalog, "cktaylo" is usually the handle I use. Thanks again

Great!
I've left my comments there for you to review.

You are now officially in the catalog with the above handle, and I've assigned you Section 11 as requested.
Just click on your name in the MW to view your personal catalog page. This is where you can track all of you LV projects, of which I hope there will be many! So happy to have you on board.

WELCOME TO LIBRIVOX!

Greetings -

Some notes on Sections 1 and 2:

Section 1 was a good effort. Unfortunately, it was too much of a good thing. The last bit of the recording has "A Succulent Table d'Hote" which is actually part of Section 2. Edit that off and this will definitely be PL OK.

Section 2 had no problems being PL OK. The MW had the time as 2:58 when it was actually 5:58 and I took the liberty of correcting that.

Replacement section 1 sans Succulent Table d'Hote -

New length is 11:07.

This is why we save 'work in progress' files. ;-)

Greetings -

Here are some notes...well, just one note...for Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6:

Section 3 is PL OK.

Section 4:

TIME: 07:43 TEXT: "They have a dreadful time trying to get Pola Negri located." This sentence is repeated in the reading.

Sections 5 and 6 are PL OK.

Nice work, gentlemen.

Greetings -

Section 9 has a couple of things that need attention before it can be listed as PL OK:

TIME: 00:43 TEXT: "_In the September issue Smokehouse Poetry will feature" The reading sounds like it has "of" between "issue" and "Smokehouse". I think it should be read as if there was a comma after "issue".

TIME: 06:16 TEXT: "Which shows you figures can lie." Reading has "figures can't lie" instead of "figures can lie".

Great bits of humor in this book.

Greetings -

A belated welcome to LV, Tonytown. I hope to listen to more of your offerings in the future.

Section 7 was nicely read and needs only a little trim job to be PL OK.

The silent period at the beginning was approximately two seconds long and needs to be trimmed down to half of a second. Otherwise, definitely PL OK.
