In the mind, or consciousness of the Earth this flower first lay latent as a dream. Perhaps, in her consciousness, it nested as that which in us corresponds to a little thought.--A.Blackwood

This reads like a couple of the Twilight Zone episodes. I kept waiting for Agnes Moorehead and her broom.

Hi Dale,
Sorry! I did miss the Frogs of Mars.
For the Frightful Ones, there is a repeat at 4:01 "The vague shadow of the ledge p'.._
It would be a great Twilight Zone episode.
The Frogs of Mars is PL OK. I loved the wet webbed footprints. It's a fun one.
I am over the moon for the Jabberwock. It is PL OK. I looked at the riddle. I think PG may have transcribed it incorrectly by having a minus sign instead of an equal sign before 11/3's. You read what the text says so it was not an error. I will leave it in your hands to decide.
Thank you!

Hi again:
I corrected the Lewis Carrol quote. I don't care much what the author's intent was, it is a direct quote. (9:28)
https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/ssf082_jabberwockbeware_sternback_dg_128kb.mp3
Yet what are all such gaieties to me
Whose thoughts are full of indices and surds?
x2+7x+53
=11/3.
Lewis Carroll
Thanks for catching that.

Nice reading. I would not have thought it was your first. All the recording needs is to be noise cleaned. Please resubmit it once it is all set,
Thanks!

Here is the noise-cleaned file: https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/ssf082_whatshedoinginthere_leiber_bas_128kb.mp3
I had not realized how much electronic whirring you could hear in the background! I am going to have to figure a better setup to help with the background noise. In the meantime I hope this will do. Thanks!

I would like to submit two stories. 'Robots of the World, Unite!' and 'Love Among the Robots'.
I was doing a robot-themed month. The first one allegedly features the first written use of the word 'droid' (although I couldn't find it) and, get this, was written by...a...woman!!!!!! (In the other one, which I picked cos of the title, sexism is fundamental to the plot. So...that balances that out. Lets call it a 'curiosity')
