Captain Billy's Whiz Bang, Vol. 3, No. 28, December, 1921, by W. H. Fawcett (1885 - 1940)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/captain-billys-whiz-bang-vol-3-no-28-december-1921-by-w-h-fawcett/

"Captain Billy's Whiz Bang" was an iconic magazine of American wit and humor launched by W.H. Fawcett in 1919. Each 64-page issue is packed with jokes, quips, and humorous bits of writing. Each year it grew in popularity, and Fawcett’s success lead to the formation of the well-known Fawcett Publications, which issued "Whiz Comics" and introduced Captain Marvel. The magazine was immortalized in a line in the song “Trouble” from Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man.” (Summary by Larry Wilson)

With our first issue completed, time to launch another.
I've purposely kept the sections short to make it easy for new readers (and experienced ones) an easier to PL

Okay, to get us started, here is Section 1

https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/whizbangv3n28_01_fawcett_128kb.mp3 2:57

Note to DPL -- the format for this preliminary material is different from the others, so just go with the flow . . .

Thanks, Lynette
