Hello, Refilwe! Thank you for your recordings! I have noted some issues that I hope you can address and re-upload.refilwe19 wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2021, 12:42 pm Hello

For Conversation Galante, please make sure there are five seconds of silence at the end of the recording.
For The Neighbor, and The Boy, again check the silences, leaving 1 second at the beginning and 5 at the end. Also the phrase "End of poem" is missing from these, if you could add please.
Listening to The Boy, I noticed some sound issues, that I would like to mention, in case it's something you can fix , or avoid in future recordings. It sounds like the volume fades in at places. For example, at 0:29 "That shimmers restlessly." or at 0:41 "now clear as glass they shine." Any idea what could have caused it?
When re-exporting The Neighbor, add the missing _ before the 128kb in the filename. Thanks!
Also it would be very helpful if in your posts you include the Titles of the poems, and text source (URL if online text, or edition/publication info if not)

Hello, imavantika! Welcome to Librivox! I expect you're anxious for feedback, but I won't be able to download files for a few days. Just letting you know. In the meantime, by what name would you like to be credited as a reader? It can be your forum name, or what you're using - if anything - for " recording by ..."
Hope everyone is well...

Hi Darrell! Thank you for your recording! Just one thing to fix of you could. I got this at 192 kbps. Could you re-export at bit rate 128 kbps? Then in the filename remove the _ between 128 and kb and then re-upload.speaker987 wrote: ↑July 27th, 2021, 8:41 pm Weekly Poetry Submission

Thank you, Avantika! Here's your Reader page: https://librivox.org/reader/16505 which you can also access from your name link in the Magic Window. It lists the projects you read for and can also help you keep track of your sections in ongoing projects under the Reader Section Details link.imavantika wrote: ↑July 27th, 2021, 12:07 pm Thank you for your response! Thank you for your two recordings! Thomas Hardy is one of my favourites! The reading and the sound quality are great, but some of the tech specs are wrong: we need a constant bit rate of 128 kbps, sampling rate of 44,100 Hz, and in mono (your files are currently variable bit rate of 160 kbps, 48000 Hz, stereo). If you are using Audacity, here are instructions on how to set it up correctly: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Audacity_1-2-3
I will fix these files for you, and hopefully you'll be able to set your recording software correctly for your future recordings
I will also fix the filename while I'm at it. For each project, check the instructions in the first post for file-naming etc.
