I asked my librarian about the noise, and she said, "no one would come here
if they weren't allowed to talk out loud." So I read out loud.

Whew! I think I've got all of your stuff right.

It is much preferred that you NOT submit files until you claim has been acknowledged and assigned in the Magic Window. Makes it easier to keep track of and avoids possible conflicts. Right now it's okay, and I'm grateful for your contributions to this project. :)

Those 4 stories were all so completely different from each other, You did a nice job with reading them. Being a romantic at heart I think I liked the one with Tempie the best.

All four need some editing. Some of that beginning text is not being read for these sections.. It is the "N.C. District..."
It occurs at the following places in the recordings
-15: from 0:23-0:37 seconds
-20: from 0:22-0:35 seconds
-21: from 0:23-0:40 seconds
-63: from 0:24-0:41 seconds

For sections 15 and 21 that is the only change needed.

Section 20:
- the volume is to low. It needs to be between 86 and 92 dB. Please amplify by at least 2 dB.

Section 63:
- Please delete one of the "Annie Stephenson" that will now be next to each other at 0:22 seconds.
- please delete over 1 second of silence at the end to get it close to 5 seconds in length.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

M

Dear M, thanks for your quick response, as I will be unable to edit after today. That's why I rushed to record in a project set to complete in one month! I read N.C. as North Carolina. Do you want me to record it as NC?

I request to read the following sections

Section 74 - Henry James Trentham
Section 71 - Tom Wilcox

How do we work through songs? Can we attempt to sing or do you prefer we read through it?

I'll mark these as Ready for Spot PL, but I'm not sure why you changed from North Carolina to NC, Abbreviations usually should be read out in words. I don't think that was point of the comments. I won't ask you to change it again, but it ends up just sounding odd.

Thanks for your work on these.

After listening to these recordings I went back and reread my original post which is when I noticed that some words I had written were unfortunately deleted. (I really need to get a faster computer with more memory as what I am typing doesn't appear on the screen until seconds later. So, I don't always catch my mistakes. Deep sigh here.) What my intent was, was to have those portions of the recording deleted. I would have been baffled by what was there if I hadn't known what I meant.
So, the only thing to do with sections 15, 20, 21, and 63 is to delete the following section of the recording that starts with " N.C. District...".
15: 0:22-0:36
20: 0:22 - 0:35
21: 0:23 - 0:40
63: 0:22 - 0:39

Section 9
Please delete the recording from 0:22-0:40.
At 1:56, the text reads "My grandfather wus Phil Bell", . you have "father".
At 2:09, The word "cabins" is cut off in "We called 'em cabins."

My apologies for causing confusion with my earlier definitely, unclear post.

Thanks,

M
