You did a nice job with your reading of such a grim tale. The speed of it was such that it sounded to me like you were the actual teller in the sense that it was slow and the pauses made it sound like you were thinking of where to go next. I liked that.ComfortKC wrote: ↑July 15th, 2021, 11:52 am https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/slavenarrativesvol11pt2_02_various_128kb.mp3 7:30
Here is my first attempt. Thanks.it

I have a few comments on the recording that need to be corrected to make it PL OK.
1. At about 0:04 it should be "volume 11" not "9"
2. At about 0:21 insert "Slave Narratives Volume XI, North Carolina, Part 2" after "please visit librivox.org"
3. Add about 2.5 seconds of silence at the end.
There is also a whine throughout, although it fades out at times. I tried some simple things to see if I could remove it, I couldn't. It is not something that needs to be fixed here but something to look into for future recordings. I don't know what the source might be, but Larry, our book coordinator, might have some ideas.
Anyway, all you need to fix are the three numbered items and repost and it should be good to go.
Thanks,
M
