I'd like to claim two sections for a single story (The Story of Siavash) since after having recorded it the runtime amounts to just under an hour and a half in all
Regarding how the sections are split would it be best for both to be the same length? I'm also unsure as to how this would affect the intro and outro, given that both recordings will be parts of one story

As for a source the link is included here

This is a really good addition for our collection. :)

When you split it into to files, I would look for a logical breaking point that is as near the middle as possible, but not necessarily the same length. I think it's better to have an obvious "intermission" point than to have the files match each other in length.

For the intro and outro, just add "Part One" and "Part Two" to the end of the story name at both points.

On the file name, use something like storysiavash1 and storysiavash2 for the title portion.

Thanks so much for contributing to this project, and welcome to LibriVox! :)

Hi Everyone! I am making it known that I shall start work on two stories from this text:
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/11582

Old Greek Stories by James Baldwin. The stories I will work on are: THE STORY OF PROMETHEUS and THE STORY OF IO.

Thank you,

Hi Everyone!

I am very close to finishing the two sections THE STORY OF PROMETHEUS and THE STORY OF IO, so you can expect them both to be uploaded here within two days maximum.

Thank you.'

EDIT: Very sadly, unforeseen complications have arisen. Both stories will soon be completed however. Thank you for your understanding :)

jangmoy wrote: June 17th, 2021, 9:59 am Hello! :)

I'm considering reading the Filipino (Philippines) version of how the world was made. I thought it would be fun to read something from my home country. :)

https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/10771 pages 183-232.

Before I start working on it, I just want to make sure it's okay to read it. Also, should I use the original way the names of the characters are pronounced in the Philippines, or should I pronounce it the way non-Filipinos would?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best regards,

Joan M.
Hi, Joan! Welcome to LibriVox!

This will be terrific for the collection, and the Philippine pronunciation of names would be fantastic.

For your personal reference, anything that Project Gutenberg has published as an ebook is in the Public Domain, so you can use it for LibriVox. :)
(and I've added this book to our list of possible resources - great find!)
Thanks, Lynette! Fantastic. I'll start working on it then. :)
