Thanks,

Section 9 is already taken, but I will certainly give you section 10. Is there another section you would like to take on instead of 9, or shall we just leave it at the one section?
Thanks for your interest and enjoy reading it,
M

Section 3, The Auld Aumrie, running 15:26 (nothing to do with armaments (slightly different word I guess) though soldiers do appear.)

I made the same assumption about that word.
Section 3, The Auld Aumrie, is PL OK
Thank you, Brize, for the pleasure!

Part 4, Parting of the Ways, sounds interesting enough to try. Maybe I'll run into some more 'Scot-talk' if you will. (You probably can't tell, but I might have some Scot heritage in me...I can FEEL it when I read that old language.) Let me know.
Thanks, Brize Crize

I would like to try Part 5, Crossing the Rubicon. This will be my first real text to read (I'm new), so I'll certainly get feedback, but I've read into it a little and I love the writing.
That being said, I'm from Germany and I can't currently access gutenberg.org, but I found a pdf of The Gentle Persuasion. Would somebody mind confirming if the text is the same? If yes, I'm ready to read more passages in the future. This is the link: https://www.electricscotland.com/books/pdf/gentlepersuasion.pdf
