Thanks for catching these faux pas.
I hope I interpreted your instructions correctly as to the Intro and Outro.
I corrected the stumble on "rear admirable", but I gotta stick by my guns on the "pastry/pasty" wording.

wikipedia
Pasty
A pasty is a British baked pastry, a traditional variety of which is particularly associated with Cornwall, United Kingdom.

Appears in source text as:
"...part of which was a venison pasty."
Again, please provide me the link to your file, with corrected time. You should do this every time you submit your file.

Hi Michele,

A bit of a romanticised vision of the wide open spaces out west for the collection. I think this author is new to the catalogue, but I wasn't able to turn up his dates or other info about him (sorry!).

The West by Francis Borton (?-?)

Duration: 4.48

The West is PL OK. I LOVE this poem!!!!! Thanks for finding it. Shouldn't you suggest it for a Weekly or Fortnightly Poem? If you don't I will.

Would you be kind enough to PL my Nameless Creek? No rush, but I think you'd "get hooked by" the story.

Great poem and well read. Thank you, and welcome to the project. However, I found several issues with this submission that must be fixed before it can be OK'd.

Link issue: I found a better link to your text which specifies the year of publication as 1918, thus it is clearly PD. Many of Sandburg's poems are not yet available for LV to read.
https://www.bartleby.com/134/22.html

Also there are several technical issues for you to clean up (usually this is done during 1-Minute Test process -- described in your welcome Letter -- before you submit anything to a project, but here we are):
The volume, at 93.2, falls outside LV's target range (86–92 dB). I recommend de-amplifying. In Audacity grab your whole file then go Effect/Amplify/-3.5

Background noise is considerable.
I recommend you apply a bit of Noise Reduction to your file. In Audacity, I would select about 4 seconds of silence from the end of each file, go Effects/Noise Reduction/Get Noise Profile. Then select the entire file, go Effect/Noise Reduction/set settings to 12, 6, 3, Reduce/OK. This should cut down the hissy background noise by about half, without affecting your voice quality. NOTE: Different people use different settings, so feel free to experiment, and beware that if you do additional passes it might begin to affect the quality. You want some background noise, but not too much. I apply NR to all my files, being as I record where the interstate highway noise a mile away is constant 24/7.

The bit rate should be 128 kbps.
The recording should use a constant bit rate rather than variable bit rate (VBR).
These are set when you save your file as an .mp3 Make the proper selections to the pop up window at that time, and your program will remember those settings until you change them.

When you have made these changes, reupload using the same file name, and post here. I'll check it again and hopefully all will pass the Checker process.

The Midnight Waterloo is PL OK. Thanks, Bill, for this heart-thumping adventure story. I really enjoyed it.

Only one thing I noticed which I leave to your discretion to change.

8:25 blood curtling call, you say brud. I suspect most listeners won't even notice.

Bill, I removed Save The Redwoods which you PL'd, from this collection and added it to the Short Non-Fiction, so that I would have room to enter this (my third) very cool story:

Running The Rapids
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/cbc32_runningtherapids_mtf_128kb.mp3
https://archive.org/details/adventuresinwild00inmurr/page/75/

If you have time, would you be willing to PL it for me? No rush.

No problem, Ms. Fry.
I'll do it this evening or early tomorrow morning.
