msfry wrote: May 15th, 2021, 10:33 am The West is PL OK. I LOVE this poem!!!!! Thanks for finding it. Shouldn't you suggest it for a Weekly or Fortnightly Poem? If you don't I will.

Would you be kind enough to PL my Nameless Creek? No rush, but I think you'd "get hooked by" the story.
The Nameless Creek is PL OK, and with that this collection is really moving along!

I'm very glad you liked the poem. That's something of a relief - when you BC these collections you must never know what's going to come your way, so it's good you enjoyed it. As for proposing it for a fortnightly project, I won't be. I've already proposed two new authors quite recently, and David was kind enough to adopt them and readers to offer their interpretations but I don't think it's fair to push David or other readers to do an endless list of stuff I suggest. At some point I have to put my money where my mouth is and record new authors myself for the monthly collection or, when they fit, for the coffee break collections!
Off LV 25-28 March.

Thanks for PL Ok'ing The Nameless Creek.

As to the poem, I'll suggest it to the Fortnightly, and BC it myself -- gives David a break and puts me back in touch with our resident band of poetry readers. It's been awhile.

As to poems in the Coffee Break Collections, I prefer ones that aren't too short, lest the project be over with before it begins. 3-4 minutes is fine, 1 or 2 minutes makes the project a bit choppy.

msfry wrote: May 18th, 2021, 10:39 am Bill, I removed Save The Redwoods which you PL'd, from this collection and added it to the Short Non-Fiction, so that I would have room to enter this (my third) very cool story:

Running The Rapids

If you have time, would you be willing to PL it for me? No rush.
What a story!!!
What a narration!!
Great stuff Michele.

A silly little divergence from the text, but I wanted to show that I was *really* proof listening. The surrounding text shows that it's not a serious problem.

PL Notes The Solitudes of Nature
Thanks Craig, a very interesting, prosy description of nature. Just a few things to consider:
4:22 While savages, like the Hottentots, gibber in their kraals, you say gib-ber, should be pronounced jib-ber.
6:32 an inverted cone, you say introverted

Thanks Soupy and Phil. I have not been receiving notifications for some reason. Had to re-subscribe to the project. I've put your sections in the MW and will PL them soon.

The Stickeen River is PL OK. Wonderful descriptions, topped off with a harrowing experience! Thanks for a great read.

I remembered another story, called Stickeen, by John Muir, about his dog named Stickeen. I found it on LV, a solo by Sue Anderson. It's an unusual canine story.
