Hi anglophileabbey and a big welcome to LibriVox! I have assigned those sections to you but before you record it, please make and upload a 1 minute test to be sure your recording set up is OK. Instructions can be found in our Wiki and in the first post of this project but Here is a video that may help too: How to Make your 1 minute test.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlaRY_-bcfs and then How to Upload your 1 minute test How to Upload your 1 minute testanglophileabbey wrote: ↑May 13th, 2021, 7:48 am I'd like to volunteer for 26-28, "The Magic Comb", "The Lessons", and "The Duel".
(You may post the link to your test in this forum and I will see it much more quickly)
I also recommend Getting To Know our Forums Getting To Know Our Forums
We just want to check out your technical specs. Don't forget to post the link either in this thread or in Listeners WAnted forum. And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you.

I am using Windows 10 64bit, Audacity 2.4.2, and a Blue Tiger Elite bluetooth headset. You can catalog me as Susan Alexander. The 1 minute test is at https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_anglophileabbey.mp3.Hi anglophileabbey and a big welcome to LibriVox! 1. Your bitrate is 108kbps variable; we need 128kbps constant
2. Your volume is too loud at 97.8 decibels; we need it to be between 86 and 92 decibels (shoot for 89)
3. There is a lot of background noise, like some machines running. Probably a fan or other device near the microphone. turn off as much as you can or move to a quieter room if possible.
So, please fix these things, make another test, call it TEST 2, upload and put the link in this thread where I will see it quickly. Ask if you need any help. Here is a video on setting specs https://youtu.be/l00VDvGTieg

Oh, and how would you like to be recnogized in our catalog? What name? It can be anything including your real name.
