Separate post for this...

Rapunzelina - I'm using a sticky mouse and managed to accidentally reorder some of the stories in the magic window.

I think I've put them all back in the order they were originally - fingers crossed I've not messed anything up!!

That's not a problem at all, because at cataloguing I re-order them alphabetically anyway. :D

Thank you for all the proof-listening!!

High Rapunzellina,
I have adjusted the two tales as you requested, thanks for your diligence :

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor052_terror_maupassant_as_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor052_imagination_blackwood_as_128kb.mp3

I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things and make fewer mistakes soon.
I 'm thinking of submitting a Yorkshire ghost tale for the next collection, and though a Yorkshireman myself, the older accent is still a bit of a challenge.
Cheers,Andy

Rapunzelina - I know I'm running a little behind on these at the moment.

I should be ok to PL to the end of this collection by the end of this week, but due to other commitments at the end of the month I won't be able to start on the new collection until at least June.

If you wanted to keep that one moving that's fine, or I can catch up when I get back. I suppose it depends how much is contributed over the next week or so!

No stress! There's no rush! Good things come to those who wait :D
I may PL in the new collection to help you catch up, depending, as you said, on how much is contributed over the next weeks.

Hey gridsock! Welcome to Librivox and to the Ghost and Horror Collection!

I hadn't realized these were your first ever uploads! Congratulations on your first Librivox recordings, then! :D As they are your first, I did a quick check, with the Checker ( https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker ) and the only technical problem is that the recordings are in stereo, though for the Librivox catalogue, recordings need to be in mono. Will you be able to turn them into mono? Of course, you can wait for the proper proof-listening by Alix, just in case there are any edits needed in the recording, so you can do all in one go.

Thank you so much for contributing in this collection, and I hope you'll enjoy it here at Librivox!
Hi Gridsock!
Thanks so much for your patience on these :)
A couple more PL notes for each of these - nothing major, both really well read, thank you for contributing!

The Stranger:
at 0:20 - you're missing the second instance of 'story title & author name' from the intro (between "librivox dot org" and the start of the story). Please add this in
3:22 - A repeated word 'we'

Diagnosis of Death:
00:20 - same issue as above, missing the second 'story title & author name' from the intro
The silence at the end is quite long - you're aiming for around 5 seconds, this is closer to 10s
Finally, this one is a little on the quiet side at 85.4dB. We aim for between 87-91. If you're able to raise the volume a little that would be great.

Thanks again!

Not having heard back from gridsock, I've done the above edits. I think. Your spot-check will make sure :D Thank you, Alix!
