For Brown Mouse - a couple of PL notes:
00.30 - I hear cautious for conscious
7.49 - I hear hand knots for hard knots
I have also tried Absinthe, but the modern version no longer contains wormwood, which was the hallucinogen.
I can confirm that it is horrid, and in the absence of wormwood, comes devoid of the 'spiritual elevation' your protagonist 'enjoys'.
