that was fast, thank you, Wayne :) and wonderfully narrated, all of them. I'm happy you liked the sections. The zeppelin raid sounds scary indeed.

I have only a few PL notes, most of them cuts:

Section 7:

> at 0:35: "editor's intro" - this can get cut, simply read "the editor" after the intro, like it's in the book (which you did correctly). I only want an intro to the footnotes (see second post for details)

Section 8:

> at 0:08: could you please read the entire title like I wrote it down in the MW (see special notes in the second post): so after the intro, say all this: The World War, Part II. The gathering of the armies. Historical note

Section 70:

> at 0:36: "editor's intro" - can be cut again

> at 2:13: (p. 408) "104 were killed" - you say "1,004" which is a lot more

> at 14:58: (p. 415) "editor's note" - can also be cut, just read the text like in the book, since this is not a footnote

thank you !

Sonia
I will be on vacation from Wednesday 27 March till Sunday 14 April

and another interesting section, I like these little bitesized chapters. Thank you Piotr. Only one small detail to note:

> at 0:04: "read for librivox dot org" - you forgot to say "dot" if I'm not mistaken :hmm:

thanks

Also, if you're interested in WWI, check out a YT channel called The Great War!
Well...actually I am too easily depressed by war stories :( usually I prefer more cheerful topics.

But these sections are nevertheless very interesting. And now I know how Przemysl is pronounced. I imagine the fortress has been turned into a war museum nowadays ?

Sections 47 and 51 are now PL ok.

One small edit for 34:

> at 1:03: please also add "The Editor" at the end of this intro passage, like it is written in the book

thanks

Section 34 re-uploaded with the same runtime.

Here's a short video from the The Great War channel with the host exploring what remains of the Przemyśl Fortress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SWkb0LpfK4

As for more literature-focused content, they have a playlist with biographies of famous people whose lives were impacted by WW1. Among them are some men of letters, such as Tolkien or Remarque.

Sonia,

I am married, you would think I could follow instructions.

Here are the corrected files.

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory15_07_dresser_128kb.mp3 6:09
https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory15_08_dresser_128kb.mp3 3:11
https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory15_70_dresser_128kb.mp3 18:10

The only one I might have a little defense for is the last one in 70. I thought that since there isn't any way, really, audibly, to show the end of the story of the raid and the editor's note, it might be advantages to add it there to show the end of one and the beginning of the other. I guess I should have asked without doing something on my own. Like I said I am married and should know better.

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory15_65_dresser_128kb.mp3 18:13 very interesting :!: I had no idea there was so much science involved in running a submarine. I bet most of this is automated today.

If you'd like a suitable musical backdrop to this (especially to part 2), check out the song "Wolfpack" by Sabaton. It's about WW2, but otherwise the same theme.

hey, so cool to have you participate in another part of this series (the last to be precise). You will be pleased to notice that this is way easier than the previous one ;)

Thank you

I always feel squeamish just thinking to be locked in under water in a boat :? Wouldn't want that experience, I'm probably easily claustrophobic.

Section 34 is now PL ok. But careful with your volume, this one is barely 86 dB. No need to reupload though, it's close enough.

One small detail for 65:

> at 0:38: (p. 381) "that he was fathoms deep under water" - you forgot "under water"

thanks

there is no rush yet, Jim, no worries. And your section is straight PL ok. Just careful with the filename. It's "worldstory15" not "_volume15". No need to reupload, I have corrected it already in my folder since it was otherwise ok.

Thank you
