hello and welcome to our forum :) I see you already passed your test so I'll assign you the sections right away.

Here is your brandnew reader page: https://librivox.org/reader/16052 where all your projects will be listed. If you want to run under another reader name, for example your real name, just let me know and I can still change it.

Since you are new to the project please read carefully through the details in the first two posts. You'll find important information on how to say the intro disclaimer, footnotes, etc. and how to name the file correctly.

Have fun ! And thanks for claiming.

One small detail for 65:

> at 0:38: (p. 381) "that he was fathoms deep under water" - you forgot "under water"

thanks

Sonia
Fixed and re-uploaded with the same runtime.

hello Jake and a big welcome to our forum :) nice that you want to start out with the World Story project. I see you already passed your test so, here is your personal reader page: https://librivox.org/reader/16056 where all your projects will be listed in time. If you want to change your reader name, just let me know and I can still correct that. Some people prefer to go by there real name instead of forum name.

Since you are new to LV and this project in particular, please read carefully through the first two posts before recording. All the details for intro, footnotes, outro and filenaming are listed there. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

And now, have fun with your first recording. Looking forward to hearing your voice. 8-)

Thank you for claiming

Here is the recording of Section 37! Also, I would like to be called Brittany Bogle as a reader. I hope the recording is okay, since it is my first time, but I really enjoy doing this! Thanks!

thank you, Jim. Always a marvel how dedicated people can be to help others in times of need. At least something positive in the times of war.

Absolutely PL ok as well :)

hello Brittany, and wow this was a fast turn-around for your very first section

I changed your reader name and it looks like this now: https://librivox.org/reader/16052, better now ?

As to your section...the narration is wonderfully done, not too fast, not too slow, all very nicely narrated so it was a treat to listen to 8-) Already looking forward to your other sections. (hopefully with a bit less gruesome topic... :? I'm a bit squeamish).

Careful with your volume though, you just about reach our absolute minimum of 86 dB, some 3 dB louder would bring it to the perfect average of 89. 86 is accepted though, but don't get any lower ;) Also the background noise, while not too disturbing, could have been reduced a little bit. Maybe in your next sections. Do you use Audacity ? It has a very good noise-cleaning program.

The only small bit that I would ask you to tweak is the end silence, which exceeds 7 seconds. We only want a standard of 5 seconds at the end, so could you trim 2 seconds from there please and reupload ? Also while you're at it, please correct the filename (see example first post): you forgot to include _dresser_.

Thanks, and I'm happy you had fun. See you for the next section

Here is Section 37 and 38. I think I fixed what I was supposed to, but let me know if it is not correct!
