You did a good job with pace and voice.
You do have some rather sharp intakes of breath that are noticeable, in future recording when you are doing your final edit, you may want to remove them.

There are several background noises that need to be addressed. Most are during silence between sentences and easily correctable.
Chair creaking 2:56, 4:08, 6:19, 7:06,
7:21, 13:06 some kind of bump during dialog
8:46 scratching noise.
12:16 bump

You have a number of technical issues that need to be address. I did not listen to your recording yet, I will do a full PL when a file with the technical corrections is submitted
* The bit Rate should be 128kpbs, you have 122
* It should be in Mono, not Stereo
* It should use a constant bit rate not a variable bit rate
* The volume is low at 84.4DB it should be between 86-92
You may want to consider looking into the Checker App, it will help you identify and address these issues before submitting your recording. https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker

A question. A lot of the stories on Gutenberg have blurbs at the beginning. These are (I think) added by the magazine editors and are not part of what the author originally wrote, though they are part of what was first published.
Is it OK to omit these? Sometimes (in my opinion at least) they give spoilers for the story.
