soupy wrote: April 9th, 2021, 9:09 pm Thanks inthedesert for An address on “The Scientific Preparation of the Minister" by J. Gresham Machen the founder of Westminster Theological Seminary.

Christianity and liberalism was one of his better books.

Well read and a few errors noted:

17:14 But they are not accomplishing the great task, they are not assimilating modern thought to Christianity, Repetition of this phrase

20:01 On the contrary, rejection of Christianity is due in the vast majority of cases simply to indifference. Only a few men have given the subject real attention. he vast majority of those who reject the gospel do so simply because they know nothing about it. This sentence was jumbled up.

Fixed! Second edit at 19:55.

I still haven't figured out is Christianity and Liberalism is PD yet. It surprises me that no one has recorded it yet if it is.
Female Scripture Characters by William Jay (1769 - 1853) 97% 1 left! "The Penitent Sinner Part 2"
St. Augustine (Vol.6 Psalms 126-150) 96% 2 left!

Christianity and Liberalism was published in 1923 (i.e. prior to 1926 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain_in_the_United_States) and is, therefore, PD. The copy at archive.org says "presented by the author" to the Library of the Theological Seminar, Princeton, N.J! https://archive.org/details/christianitylibe00mach_0/page/n1/mode/1up

Your recording for SNF vol. 081 puts Machen in the LibriVox catalog for the first time. Well done!

Under the category of "good news" and wonders of the natural world, a red fox has just given birth to 5 kits under my garage! The babies are, well, what can I say? They are cute! Guess what I'll be reading about next for the SNF! Here's a short video I took yesterday: https://audiobooks.oliveandseablue.com/arts/natureandscience/unexpected-house-guests/

Thanks Piotrek81

The sad history of Bohemia.

One very minor error that might not be worthy of mention except that it's a date:

15:54 On the 30th of May of that year the Taborite army, led by Prokop the Great and Prokop the Less, who both fell in the battle, was totally defeated and almost annihilated at Lipan. You said 13th
