I just finished section 6

It's 2 minutes, and I hope the PL goes well!

Thank you for the experience,
Thomas
Hi Thomas, thanks for the recording! For this porject, we're only reading the creeds, not the commentary or introductions. I know this one is super short as a result but that's not an issue. Can you cut the commentary out and reupload this one?

Thanks so much and sorry if the instructions weren't clear!
Hello,

Thank you for letting me know. I was able to fix it quickly

PL Notes Section 6:
Great voice, love the reading!

For the intro, we're reading the work titlw rather than the collection title (I now see how that's ambiguous so I'll change it in the first post). Can you say "Creed of Cyprian, of Carthage. A.D. 250" "by Cyprian" (instead of "The Creeds of Christendom by Various"

The volume is a bit too high (93+dB). Are you using Audacity? If so, you can use the Loudness Normalization effect set to -20 (Loudness Normalisation ('perceived loudness', -20 LUFS, the two checkboxes don't matter)) and that will automatically correct the volume.

PL Notes Section 7:

~0:45 "in the Son of God, Christ Jesus" (out of order)

Same as above for intro and volume.

Thanks heaps!

Ok, I went and made that correction. It is at 0:03, 0:08, 1:12, and 1:16

The time is the same 1:22

Let me know whether I got it right this time. :hmm:

Thanks,

Sections 9 and 11:

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/creedschristendom_09_various_128kb.mp3 3:26
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/creedschristendom_11_various_128kb.mp3 1:27

I guess I didn't realize these would be so short, unless I left something out. I hope I got the intros and outros right.

If these are okay, I'll try to find something more substantial further down.
On the road again, so delays are possible

Here's section 17 (5:15)
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/creedschristendom_17_various_128kb.mp3

I didn't read the words in brackets; please correct me if I'm wrong in this.
I also didn't say an author, since one wasn't given. I could say it's by Athanasius, but that just seems weird, since his name is in the creed name. Please correct me if you'd still like it added.

Will PL these tomorrow. No need to say it's by Athanasius because the evidence seems to be strongly against him being its author!

That's the most polite way to indicate that the intro text I gave is garbled nonsense that I've ever heard!

Section 9 PL OK.
Section 11: the intro, were I better at copy-paste, should be "Creed of Eusebius of Caesarea in Palestine A.D. 325". Sorry about that!

Section 30 (65:32)
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/creedschristendom_30_various_128kb.mp3

Whew!

I did the Heidelberg Catechism as a duet (someone read the questions, I read the answers), so that doesn't appeal to me. How about Dort (section 54)? Then I will have recorded all the Reformed Standards of Unity.

I thought that sounded strange. I should have checked first.
At any rate, here it is:
