I will change the file name in the uploader folder, so the file doesn't have to be uploaded just for the name change.
EDIT: Old file now called creedschristendom_38_various_128kb_old; new file is creedschristendom_38_various_128kb

TriciaG and InTheDesert,
Thanks for your help in setting things straight again.
For future reference, if I re-upload a corrected and edited file, I should use the same filename as the first original upload file name and the system will replace it with the most recent version of the file (i.e. freshly, edited and corrected one)?
Thanks,
CJZJR

Exactly. The old file will be renamed, so if it's needed, it still exists. But then the link in the Magic Window always points to the newest file. For future reference, if I re-upload a corrected and edited file, I should use the same filename as the first original upload file name and the system will replace it with the most recent version of the file (i.e. freshly, edited and corrected one)?

Here are sections 40 & 70.

40 was a bit of a challenge with the 16th century language and spelling, in addition to a Greek phrase
I did not include any notes, nor did I record the 1628 Royal Declaration. If you would like it added, just let me know.

Well done, both PL OK! You did very well with the spelling - your listeners will benefit from how you have 'liberated' this text for them!JHedrick wrote: ↑June 28th, 2021, 2:00 pm Here are sections 40 & 70.

Sorry for such a delay. Here is my settings test.InTheDesert wrote: ↑June 15th, 2021, 9:02 pmWelcome to LV!timdebe wrote: ↑June 15th, 2021, 9:02 am Could I take section 65, the Confession of Dositheus?
Also the link in the magic window is accidentally to The Confession of Pseudo-Cyril instead of the Confession of Dositheus. The Confession of Dositheus is pages 123-187 (or -194 to include the signatures.)
It would be great to have you record the Confession of Dositheus. We'd just need you to do your recording test so that your technical specs are all ok. The most likely issue that you'll have is noise recution and the overall volume (which is best measured using the ReplayGain audacity plugin).
Good catch about section 65. I've updated the link!

Nice to see that you're back. We'll wait and see what people say about the technical specs for the recording, and then I'll assign the section to you.timdebe wrote: ↑July 13th, 2021, 4:00 pm

I can already see a couple of issues:
You need to use 'constant bitrate', not variable when you export.
The bitrate needs to be 128kbps.
You need to export in mono (In audacity: select your track click the down arrow next to the track name, select 'Split Stereo to Mono' and then delete one of the two tracks)

The volume is a bit low. Can you amplify it by at least 3dB for me?

A required change:
In the disclaimer, it needs to say librivox.org (not .com)
Two optional changes:
Just before 13:10, you said Nicene (as in the creed). Earlier in this project it is pronounced Nye-Seen. It might be nice to have it consistent so that people know it's referring to the creed they just heard.
Just before 14:22 'Cyril' who I have always heard pronounced Si-rill in other contexts.
Both up to you.
