I would like to contribute "Whittington and His Cat" from the English Fairy Tales collection.

http://www.gutenberg.org/files/7439/7439-h/7439-h.htm#link2H_4_0033

I am still new at this, so I wanted to make sure this work fits the project before I get too ahead of myself. :)

Thank you,
Caleb
Hi Caleb,

That would be perfectly fine! :D
Okay, great!

I did have one question. Since there is not one listed author, how does the Into/Outro work? Something like "Whittington and His Cat from English Fairy Tales, edited by Joseph Jacobs. This is a Librivox recording. All Librivox Recordings are in the public domain. For more information or to volunteer, please visit Librivox.org"?
We may never get another Today. Use wisely.

Hi Thomas,

There is no claiming in collection like this. Just choose a public domain story, record it, and submit it when it is ready! If this Volume is full, another will be started right away! :-)

If you are unsure if a story is public domain, just ask here first and I can help you.

Here's a tale about the Russian witch Baba Yaga in a Hänsel and Gretel-like setting. I very much enjoyed the story.

Title: Baba Yaga
Author: Verra Xenophontovna Kalamatiano de Blumenthal (born 1864 ? I only found this about the author, not sure how reliable the info is though: https://fairytalez.com/author/verra-xenophontova-de-blumenthal/ )
Text source: https://archive.org/details/cu31924028083255/page/n121/mode/2up
Link: https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/csw044_babayaga_ss_128kb.mp3
Length: 9:43 min.

Hi James,

I see that you submitted this story to the Myths and Legends thread back in February. I Pm'd the coordinator of that project, as it appears that it was overlooked. It was, and she would like to keep in in the Myths and Legends project. So if you want to keep an eye on that project thread she should be posting about it over there! :-)

Thanks!
Maria

Thank you ~ you did a lovely job! :9: Here is a link to your catalog page: https://librivox.org/section_compiler/15694

There is just one thing that needs to be fixed. In the intro, for this collection, we just say the title of the story, not the title of the book it came from. So it should be like this:

"The Sandy Cat, by Mrs. W.K. Clifford" "This is a Librivox recording. All Librivox Recordings are in the public domain. For more information or to volunteer, please visit Librivox.org"

If you could fix that and reupload, using the same file name, that would be great!
