You are most welcome. I really enjoyed listening to it. It's so well written and the reader is wonderful!

See you around.

That would actually be spectacular. I was holding Section 26 for a new member, but I never heard back from them about completing their 1-minute test and since it's been a while, I'm assuming they've moved on.

And with that... we're full. Anne, please feel free to move us into Readers Found.

Section Two. In the Tules, by Bret Harte
Really well done! So well, in fact, that I immediately started searching for other Bret Harte stories that weren't in the catalogue.

I also apologize for not warning you about the racial epithet at the end.

I only found a couple of minor errors:

beginning - the title of the collection is slightly wrong -- "LGBTQ" is said, not "LGBTQ+"
5:50 - a minor blip in the audio, with a stretch of this sentence missing (the missing bits have been capitalized) - "Even had he the time and money to spend in a passage on the boat, and thus actively REALIZE THE GREAT WORLD of which he had only these rare glimpses, a certain proud, rustic shyness kept him from it."
9:26 - "The stranger again look… stared curiously at him." - remove look

Thanks so much for being understanding! I'll try to get it to you as soon as I can, but February is quite a busy month for me. I am excited to read this story and got an idea of how rare it is by the fact that when I googled the story, this LV project was the second result. Any idea why the story is so rare?
I’m not sure, exactly. I presume it’s the victim of low print runs, but so was Stevenson’s The Intersexes and it’s freely available on HathiTrust. I’m honestly surprised I was able to find a PDF scan anywhere!

Looking forward to hearing your version of this story. And no rush—please take your time with this one. We’re not going anywhere.
Here is part 1!

PL OK! (Although the volume is slightly too low according to Checker, so keep that in mind for the future.)

Great job. I'm so glad we managed to get this story into the collection. I hope someone will eventually record the entire book, even if its a ridiculously long collection of stories (about 600+ pages).

I wondered about that, LGBTQ, so asked Elise, she said put it in, so in it went, I'll remove it. As for the other bits, of course, I will correct. Should be done by Wednesday

I choked up several times towards the end. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to record this.

I'm glad Kevin is PL-ing this -- that means I get to listen to this as a regular listener and not a DPL. Thanks again!
