Here's your first:

Author: Gilbert White (1720-1793)
Wiki for author: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilbert_White

Title: The Natural History of Selborne
Wiki for Title: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Natural_History_and_Antiquities_of_Selborne
Original publication date: 1789

Text: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/1408

Uploaded file: https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/fc07_naturalhistoryselborne_py_128kb.mp3

File length: 7.16

By the way, the full title of the book that I gave on the recording was from a pdf of a copy published in 1900, which I read from, but I've since checked the wording of the chapter content against the Gutenberg text.

Hello :) Now, that we've entered 2021, I want to start by reading a piece that I've been thinking about since I first heard of its existance lat year. I've got 3 questions though:
1. I understand that as of Jan 1, 2021, 1925 sources are OK to use? (the poem itself is older but the source text comes from a 1925 edition).
2. I'll be using Wikisources but the page contains link to the 1925 edition scans. Is that OK with you?
3. Do you accept poetry here?

1925 is now PD here in the US.
We will need to check the Wikisource and original are exactly the same. Even changing a single word messes things up. I understand that sometimes the original just isn’t clear enough to read from, but Wikisource is so unreliable, we don’t accept it as a source. :|
I think poetry would be a first, but as long as it checks the other boxes, I don’t see a problem (if it’s a first chapter)
