Hi Lynda
Section 48
The text is as follows:

look where he is! yonder he goes.

[DOWNRIGHT crosses the stage.

DOWNRIGHT. What peevish luck have I, I cannot meet with these

bragging rascals?

Here the name Downright appears twice, once when he crosses the stage and second when he delivers dialogue.

What should I do? Please guide
AS for other mistakes I have edited them and uploaded the file

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/englishlitboysandgirls_48_marshall_128kb.mp3

Duration is 23 min.

Just say "Downright' the second time. This appears to be a play and the convention is to announce who is speaking before they speak. The first 'Downright' is part of stage directions for them to cross the stage. So if you said it twice, that is fine. Keep asking questions!

If you can then copy the 2nd Downright over the 1st one like you are replacing it with a new pronunciation of the word that would be great. Then add about .5 to 1 second of silence between the play direction and the saying of the 2nd Downright. I see my mistake now when listening - I thought they belonged together. So best to correct the pronunciation of the 1st one and add a bit of silence to separate the stage direction with the play.

Many thanks - let me know if you have any more questions - they are always welcome!

Great reading - I have some PL feedback for you - please let me know if you have any questions or want any help with how to do the fixes. Please do not re-record your Chapter - your recording is good - just a few things need to be fixed by copy/paste.

Chapter 62

0:27 – Title of Chapter is “Defoe – Robinson Crusoe” I only heard Robinson Crusoe.
0:33 – I heard “Defore” it should be “Defow” (that is how it is pronounced).
2:07 – I heard “arduous” it should be “hazardous”
2:17 – Please add “Footnote History of the Union of Great Britain End Footnote”
5:56 – Please add “Footnote Gates in the City Wall End Footnote”
9:16 – I heard “pilloid” it should be “pillor ED” (that is how it is pronounced)
9:26 – Please add “Footnote Johnathan Swift End Footnote”
10:07 – Bobble – remove the extra hum
10:21 – Please add “Footnote Samuel Johnson End Footnote”
10:28 – I heard “Quizote” it should be “KEYoTEH” (that is how it is pronounced)
11:24 – I believe “un” for the Uninhabited is repeated. Remove the 1st one please.
12:02 – I heard “his” it should be “this” which is crutial to understanding the sentence. Please re-record this part of the sentence as it is a bit broken up. “you will find that this feeling runs through them all. “
12:26 – Please add “Footnote William Minto End Footnote”
12:35 – heard “rouges” it should be “ROgges” (that is how it is pronounced)
12:46 – same as above
13:45 – I heard “fudgetive” it should be “FUGative” (that is how it is pronounced)
Please leave 5 seconds of silence at the end of the recording – you are about 1.5 seconds short.

Lynda

Hi Caden -

Section 63 feedback -

You have a measurable amount of noise in the recording - please noise clean to reduce it. Let me know if you need help with that.
Please limit the silence at the end to 5 seconds only.

Other than that it was a great recording!

Hi Viney!

Your corrections are almost done - the only thing you need now is 5 seconds of silence at the end of your recording....
