Did you want this section? Not quite sure why you posted this name without any information...

Hi there, and welcome to LibriVox! I see that you have posted your test in Listeners and Editors Wanted and that it has been given the "OK." Are you interested in reading for this project? If so, please also provide the name under which you would like to be published in the catalog. It can be your real name, forum name, a pseudonym, or anything else you like. I will need to know your catalog name before I reserve a section for you. Thanks!

Thank you! What an interesting story, and so well read, too! I have a few PL notes for you:

1. Please read the "Books to Read" heading before the name of the book at the end of the section for consistency with the sections submitted by other readers.
2. The file name should be "englishlitboysandgirls_17_marshall_128kb.mp3" (no leading "0").
3. The sample rate should be 44.1 kHz (44,100 Hz), not 48 kHz. To change the sample rate in Audacity, open the Preferences dialog box. Go to Audacity > Preferences > Quality > Change the default sample rate to 44,100 Hz > Click OK.

Please make the above changes and re-upload for spot check. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much!

Section 18 PL notes: Please include the footnotes at 11:30 and 12:30. Also, the file should have 0.5-1 second of silence at the beginning (currently 1.5 seconds).

Sections 19 and 20 are PL OK!

Hi, Caden! Great reading! The only PL note I have is related to how you read one of the abbreviations, "MS." We discussed this abbreviation when the project was first launched and the general consensus was that "MS" stands for "manuscript." Could you please say "manuscript" instead of "MS" at 09:40 and 10:21? Also, in the future, you don't have to say "this quotation may be found in..." when you come across a footnote. You can just say "footnote" and "end footnote." Thank you so much!

Hello. The above is Ch. 38 "The Death of Sir Thomas More"

First submission - and first reading - other than 1 Minute Test. Editing is "D" for Difficult. Aforementioned "D" is likely grade on this submission.

Back in 2015, Phil said a Smiley Face was optional. It is therefore in an expression of good faith, and a nod to the LibriVox gods... :D (Darnit! Don't know the ins and outs of Smilies.)

Happy Easter
Hehe! Happy Easter! Your recording sounds very professional... are you sure it's your first?! I only have a few corrections for you to make, which can be found below:

1. The volume is too low at 85.2 dB. We aim for 89 dB, with an acceptable range of 87-91 dB. To adjust the volume in Audacity, select the whole recording. Click Effect > Amplify. In the Amplification box, enter the number +3.8 dB, then click OK. (When you run the file through Checker, you will see the exact dB level under the "Information" tab).
2. Read the footnotes to be consistent with the other recordings submitted for this project. At 02:18, after "twenty years and above," you should say, "Footnote: W. Roper. End footnote."
3. Omit "End of English Literature for Boys and Girls by Henrietta Elizabeth Marshall" at the end of the section; that particular outro is for the end of the book.
4. The end of the section should have 5 full seconds of silence; currently there are 3.5 seconds.

Eagerly awaiting the edited file! Have a great weekend!
