Archive has a scan of the July 1925 issue of Weird Tales where the story was first published - would this be an acceptable source?

Copyright page: https://archive.org/details/WeirdTalesV06N01192507/page/n1/mode/2up
Direct link to story: https://archive.org/details/WeirdTalesV06N01192507/page/n77/mode/2up
This is an acceptable source! Enjoy recording!

Good day;

I apologise for the late reply, and I have edited the recording with the correct introduction. The updated file can be found here:

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor048_dontthinkaboutit_stuart_lw2_128kb.mp3

The new audio length is 23:09.

Many thanks and Happy New Year!
Hello lightwhisper, unfortunately we cannot include a computer-generated recording in the collection. Is there a reason why you are using a computer-generated voice instead of your own?
Good day;

I am so sorry! I offer my most sincere apologies, as I had no idea LibriVox only accepted human voices. As for why I submited a story using a computer voice instead of my own, it was entirely for anonymity's sake. Again, I sincerely apologise for any trouble or headache I may have caused. I will cease using a computer voice for LibriVox.

Many thanks, again, and I will not be a bother or headache for anyone here again.

Thank you for understanding, light whisper. I'm sure you can still remain anonymous using your own voice; it's one among thousands of volunteer voices. Unless, of course, you're already famous with an unmistakable voice like Morgan Freeman :mrgreen:

I think I'm all caught up with my DPL projects so I'll lend an ear here now. I'll start from the bottom up and download the last three sections.

By the way, I see section 15 marked as See PL notes, but I didn't see a post about it; maybe I missed it?

Thanks Rapunzelina, help definitely appreciated! I'm back in my normal routine now after the holidays (with added lockdown here in the UK) so should be back to having a bit more time as well.

Whoops, was working in different tabs and evidently only posted one set of comments, I definitely remember typing it up! fortunately I still have my handwritten notes...

Thank you I C - this one isn't as bad with the cuts as Mrs Davenport. There are still a few that are quite noticeable, so I've marked as PL notes, but I don't think it's so many as to warrant a re-record I hope.

0:18 - 'ecording' for 'recording'
6:11 - 'ell' for 'well'
6:51 - 'ust below' for 'just below'
6:59 - 'ey walked' for 'they walked'

Hi I. C.

I've PL-d the remaining two - Ghost of Washington and The Count. Thank you so much for your patience while I worked through these I know it's taken me a little longer than usual. I can really hear you getting into these stories! Such a shame the software caused issues.

I've marked as PL notes again (although can tell you've done more editing on The Count - very few notes there). Here goes.

alixsquish,

Thanks so very much for identifying the parts where the sound got truncated! I will patch those three carefully over the weekend and repost soon.
