Section 36, page 78-80 done.

Pardon the delay. I had to get a pop filter and arm for my desk.

I'll finish up the other sections I'm assigned tomorrow. Knight's honor :D
A truly excellent reading! The reading itself is flawless ... all we need now is just the standard 5 seconds of silence added to the end of the recording ... your recording has about one second's silence at the end at the moment. This is standard Librivox practice for all recordings, so that in progressive listening there is a brief pause between consecutive recordings in a collection.

You have a fine resonant voice ... have you considered taking on a role in one of the plays being recorded in the Drama Section? Link is here: viewforum.php?f=27

In these projects, everyone records their roles separately in individual files, and then they are assembled into the final form of the play.

Thanks,
Chris

Okay! Added the few extra seconds needed for sec36. Got the other two recorded and edited on my end. Had some trouble with 41 hah. Some pretty tough sections to read, but I think I finally got it :D

Let me know if there's anything else I need to add or revise or anything. Thanks for this great opportunity! Definitely looking forward to more volunteer work :D

Thanks again!
- Enrique

Quick Edit: I caught something in 41 and did some last-minute edits. Should be good to go now! :)

Hello,

I did my recording for section 85. Its link is here: https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/poems_85_quinn_128kb.mp3. Its length is 1:21.

Hopefully, it sounds good. These are my first recordings, also sorry for adding them in a reversed order. I missed a word in section 84 and didn't catch it till afterward. I want to see how this one sounds before I make a move on that. :)

Update: I completed my recording for section 84. Its link is here: https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/poems_84_quinn_128kb.mp3. Its length is 1:43.

Section 15 - ANZAC Day

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/poems_15_quinn_128kb.mp3
2.16

Obviously written in the days when the sacrifice of life was considered worthwhile in a noble cause :hmm:
Even worse, it was the Sacrifice of Youth.

PL-OK.

Thanks,
Chris

As a BC, I can add a New Reader name, but not, I believe, modify it once added. We'll have to get Kitty our MC to change it.

Looking at the one-minute test results (copied below), it looks as though there are several corrections needed first.

"Hi Greta

Welcome to Librivox.

Your recording sounds fine but there are a couple of specifications that require adjustment:

1) Recording is in stereo - it needs to be mono;

2) Bit rate is 320 kbs - it should be 128 kbs

You should be able to change these without re-recording.

If you could upload an updated recording someone will check it for you.

Cheers
Algy Pug"

Thanks,
Chris
