Hi KnightWriter and welcome to Librivox!
I see you've passed your one-minute test, so I'll set you up as a reader. For this, you have a User Name (which is your forum name, ie, "KnightWriter") and a Display Name. The Display Name can be the same as your User Name if you wish, or you can have something else ... some people use their real name, some other handles. For the time being, I'll set your User Name and Display Name both to "KnightWriter", but if you wish to change the Display Name to something different, an Admin can do that for you.
So, I've now assigned you Sections 36, 40, and 41.
Cheers,
Chris

Back in my day, in the Australian parlance, to body-surf in the manner of "The Surrender" poem was "to crack a wave".
Thanks,

Hi WhiskeySong, and welcome to Librivox! Great to have you aboard.WhiskeySong wrote: ↑December 26th, 2020, 12:51 pmHi I'd like to read for Garden Street, #67, page 164. Thanx!
For the time being, I can reserve you this poem for one month. This will give you the time to complete your one-minute-test, which we recommend, before you start recording anything in a project.
The test's purpose is to check that your technical settings are all up to LV standard. You can read all about it here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test
Please post the test in the Listeners Wanted forum: viewforum.php?f=21 and someone will check it and give you feedback or advice if needed.
As soon as the test is ok'ed, please post the results back here, and then I can assign you the sections officially.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Good luck with the test !
Chris

Hi Adrian! I've assigned the first five unallocated sections, namely :
37 - Acushla ("Acushla" comes from the Irish Gaelic "cuisle", which figuratively means "darling" but more literally means "pulse" or "vein.)
56 - The Counsellors
70 - After Drafting
72 - The River and the Road
74 - Two Pictures
Cheers,
Chris

The Librivox Uploader username / password are different from your Forum username / password. I won't post them here as text, because bots on the Web can screen-scrape such things, but if you go into the first post of any active project, say this one viewtopic.php?f=19&t=83912 and do a find on this: "Upload your file with the LibriVox Uploader", you will see a white image with the username / password on it.
The "2lv" is a two, a lower-case letter L, and a lower case 'V'.
