Hi Greta, and welcome to Librivox! Great to have you aboard.GretaBui wrote: ↑December 21st, 2020, 4:10 am Hello everyone, I am new here! I am going to take only 39 for now, so I get my head around how all works here / go through all the process of recording, uploading, etc. faster. My name is Greta but I use the name Odie ji Ghast for all my projects so I'm going to use my artist name here as well.
So exited to be contributing! I hope you all are doing well.
Greta
For the time being, I can reserve you this poem for one month. This will give you the time to complete your one-minute-test, which we recommend, before you start recording anything in a project.
The test's purpose is to check that your technical settings are all up to LV standard. You can read all about it here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test
Please post the test in the Listeners Wanted forum: viewforum.php?f=21 and someone will check it and give you feedback or advice if needed.
As soon as the test is ok'ed, please post the results back here, and then I can assign you the sections officially.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Good luck with the test !
Chris

Thank you, nighthawks, I've assigned you that section.nighthawks wrote: ↑December 21st, 2020, 8:56 am May I please record Section 32, Midnight and Moonlight.
Cheers,
Chris
P.S. All the other Australian poets that you can see in the coloured signature lines at the bottom of all my posts are also Public Domain in the UK, and hence freely available for you to record. If you click on the relevant coloured line, it will take you to the project thread in question.

Hi Baron, and welcome to Librivox! Great to have you aboard.
As Kitty has noted earlier ... she has the night watch while we're asleep here in Australia ... we need to go through the proper procedures so as to ensure that all Librivox technical standards are in place first.
For the time being, I can reserve for you the first three poems (namely section 81, 82 and 83) that you requested for one month. This will give you the time to complete your one-minute-test, which we recommend, before you start recording anything in a project.
The test's purpose is to check that your technical settings are all up to LV standard. You can read all about it here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test

Section 69, line 11 ... this is optional, I can accept it as PL-OK if you wish, just let me know ... I can hear "like some robed miser", rather than "like some robbed miser".
I've allocated Sections 46 and 78 to you.
Many thanks,
Chris

In Sections 58 and 59 ... this is not really anything to affect the PL-OK status of the poems, but you may wish to correct it for consistency ... you have read your name at the start of the poem as "TheIntern336" rather than "TheIntern356". I'll mark them both as PL-OK at this time.TheIntern356 wrote: ↑December 23rd, 2020, 7:44 pm 58 https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/poems_58_quinn_128kb.mp3 1:19.83

In Section 60, there is a duplication of the lines "Are empires more than mountains, basalt-based/That they should last?".
In Section 62, I hear "on their Satan-surfaced petals", rather than "on their satin-surfaced petals". It does rather change the meaning! https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/satin
Section 63 and 65 - PL-OK
Thanks,
Chris
